Four Sisters Grill
Unfortunately we all know what September means: dreaded school, work, the college process, and overall responsibilities come back to full throttle after summer chiling. It is always a blessing when you have the chance to forget about everything for a short evening with a smangin’ meal.
On a beautiful clear night sky on September 18, 2017, I decided to take a trip too ‘nam. Viet-nam that is. I was quite excited to taste a small portion of flavors that Vietnam has to offer. This was not the first time I have had Vietnamese food but it was the first time I went to Four Sisters Grill.
When you walk in, it might not seem like the most exotic place to get Vietnamese food because you think it will be low quality fast Vietnamese food, but the taste sure proves you wrong. Let’s get it...

For our appetizers we had some nic rolls. To the left we have the crispy, vegetarian spring roll. To the right we have a shrimp garden roll. If you know me and ask what I liked better, you’d be surprised. I prefered the vegetarian spring roll. The spring roll was warm, had a decent crunch on the outside, with a soft center filled with sprouts, carrots, and other veggies. It came with a simple Worcestershire/Soy sauce mix which really makes you aware of the flavors when you bite into it. If you are into garden rolls then you should like it. The rice paper outside is always great and same with the shrimp in the middle. Honestly, I was not a fan of the rest the roll because it had to sharp of an earthy flavor.
As we neared the end of the rolls, out came the main event…
Time to get the freak down for business you food lovers. I had a noodle based dish called Bún Tôm Thịt Nướng, N5 for short. This was definitely a banger on my list. The dish I think was even better, because it actually looked the picture. For real when is that ever the case?

My N5 had grilled shrimp and
pork laid across the top, and on one side it had all the veggies; it was all sitting on a fluffy bed of rice noodles. I recommend to pour the sauce that comes with it all over the noodles. In addition, dash up the dish with some of the chili sauce that is already provided at the table for you. To get the perfect bite you need to take your chopsticks and gather a bite of noodle, which is complimented by chili and pork/shrimp. When the dish gets a little too spicy for those taste buds of yours from the chili just squeeze a little lime in and mix a small amount of the soy sauce if you would like.
If you would like simple entree, then I gotchu. Below I present you with the Phở Gà (note: on the menu you can just ask for the S1 and they’ll know what you mean!). Phở Gà is a soup-based dish. If you are looking for something light but filling, this dish is perfect. Its flavorful broth and chicken combine nicely for the perfect homie that soup is supposed to bring you.

The few dishes consumed, brought my peaceful evening to a nice relaxing close. I hope you find Four Sister to be just as chill and homie as I experienced.
Environment: When you walk into Four Sister Grill, it does not seem like the most authentic setting you’d hope for when you think Vietnamese restaurant. With that being said, the interior of the restaurant is very welcoming to anyone. The dim yellow on the wall and plants hanging from the structure supports make it feel relaxing. If you’d rather sit outside with the fresh air and breeze you can enjoy the atmosphere that Clarendon has to offer. I felt very comfortable with the whole get up as do most people when dining at Four Sisters.
Hospitality: Since you order at the counter it was hard to gain a full sit down experience. But the nice lady at the counter was really helpful with what to get and what she thought was good. The gentleman who brought the food out was great. He suggested which sauce to put on the dishes that I ordered. He also had just enough time to stick around and explain how to properly eat the dishes that I ordered. I really enjoyed that because it made it an even better experience while I sat down.
